<p>The diaphragm operated pilot valve has two rigid shells which are bolted together. One shell has inlet and outlet ports (6, 7) opening onto membrane (3) by orifices (8, 9) that can be isolated by it. The other shell (2) bounds the control cavity (10) which is in communication with port (6) by a passage (11). To maintain the membrane position when the pressures equalise, a grill (13) is placed in shell (1). The port entry orifices are parabolic with flat bases. The inlet and outlet ports are separated by a partition (14) with a ridge (31).</p> |
