<p>Appts. in which sausages are individually suspended longitudinally from horizontal, parallel, carrier bars. The bars are advanced intermittently along a pair of spaced, parallel slide tracks at right angles to the carrier bars. Synchronised to operate each time the carrier bars are stopped, a pair of contra-rotating brushes rise to nip on to and brush downwards a complete line of sausages suspended from a carrier bar. At the brushing station, the sausages can be simultaneously sprayed with wshing water or dusted with powder. Successive stations cna be used for wet and dry brushing operations. Used for brushing and/or washing and/or powdering delicatessen sausages. The brushes treat a complete carrier bar line of sausages simultaneously, so that prod. output is high. Readily adjustable machine for different sizes of sausages and widths of carrier bar.</p> |
