<p>The trough comprises an endless belt of light plastics or rubber sheet secured to slats (5) on its lower surface. Drive is transmitted to the belt via the slats which co-operate with teeth on the drums. The upper surface of the belt is reinforced with battens (7). The slats slide over an upper support surface (2) and on the return run the battens slide over a lower support surface (3). Tapered rollers (8) at each end of a supporting structure guide the upper side edges of the belt between the drums and inclined guides (9), the upper surface of which overlaps the edge of the belt.</p> |
