<p>A pen recorder drive mechanism has Archimedean drive spindles to move a pen recorder cassette device carrying a stylus. attached to the spindles are pulleys driven by belts. Jockey pulleys biased by torsion springs hold the drive belts taut. The belts are driven by further pulleys which are directly coupled to drive wheels. The drive wheels axle is mounted on pivoting arms which are mounted on a common axle which is, in turn, mounted ona chassis member. Movement of the pivoting arms brings the rims of the drive wheels into engagement with drive drums associated with a drive motor, thus permitting repositioning of the recording styli. Further springs urge the swing arm to its neutral drive position.</p> |
