<p>New sprayable insecticides contain (a) an insecticidal active ingredient, (b) an inert solvent for the active ingredient, (c) a propellant, and (d) 0.5-3 wt.% of finely divided solid with a specific surface of >20 m2/g. The new insecticides are suitable for spraying onto porous materials, e.g. wood, fibreboard, carpets, textiles, upholstery, etc., to afford insecticidal protection. The finely divided solid prevents adsorption of the insecticide by the porous material, and insecticidal activity is retained despite adsorption of the insecticide on the finely divided solid.</p> |
