Gas cleaning plant - with moving intake duct ending over water trap level and scrapers for deposits removal

A gas cleaning device, e.g. for gas emitted during coke oven pushing operations, includes a channel with a fluid lock and a J-shaped inflow duct. The latter terminates by its short branch in the space above the fluid level and its long branch terminates in an intake of the dust laden gases. An endless belt conveyor with flights discharges the accumulated sludge from the channel: scraper blades on the inflow duct keep the channel clean. This is an uncomplicated design which is easy to instal and requires a minimum of maintenance. Dust and smoke particles are reliably removed and lessen environmental pollution.
