Mixer e.g. feeder shaft for building industry - using row of replaceable half shells bolted together and fitted with blades

Mixed and/or feeder screw, for single- or double shaft worm feeders or mixers, etc. used in the building industries, has a shaft fitted with a row of interchangeable half shells which can be bolted together. A mixer blade is fitted on the periphery of each half shell. Each half shell is pref. fitted with an internal strap used with nuts and bolts to bolt two half shells together to make a ring. The shaft is pref. fitted with two flanges, of which >=1 can be removed, for clamping a row of pairs of the half shells on the shaft. Used for mixing asphalt, or mixt. contg. hydraulic binders. The feeder or mixing blades are easily and rapidly replaced, and the shells have a smooth periphery.
