Aminoacid esters and thiol ester of formula (I) and their acid addn. salts, and intermediates (II) and their acids salts are new, (where W is O or S; R1 is cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl (opt. sub substd. by halo or lower alkyl) t=0-4; each Y is H, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, acyloxy, halo, cyano, nitro or haloalkylthio; Z is chosen from Y cycloalkyl or ahloalkoxy, or Y and Z together form methylenedioxy; R2 si H, alkyl, haloalkylcarbonyl or formyl; R3 is 2-5C alkyl, 2-5C alkenyl, 1-4C halolakyl, 2-4c haloalkenyl or 3-4C cycloalkyl; R4 is H or F; R5 is -CH2-C(R16)=C(R17)-CH2-r18 or -CH(C=CH)-CR19=CH-r20; p=0-3; R6 is H, cyano, methyl, CF3, -C=CH or -C(NH2)=S; R7 is halo, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio, alkenyl or haloalkenyl; R8 is H or together with R7 forms alkylene-dioxy attached to adjacent ring C atoms; R9=H, alkenyloxy, alkynyl, alkynyloxy, haloalkynyl, alkylcarbonyl, opt. substd arylcarbonyl opt. substd. aryloxy, opt. substd. arylthio, opt. substd. aralkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, acyloxy, aryloxycarbonyl, alkoxyarbonyl or haloalkenyloxy; R10 is H or alkyl; R11 is H, alkenyl, alkynyl or aralkyl R12 and R13 together form alkylnee or alkenylene; R14 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or aralkyl; R15 is H or alkyl; R16 is H, Cl, F or methyl; R17 is H, Cl, F or methyl or together with R16 forms a C-C bond; R18 is phenyl or phenoxy R19 is H, halo, methyl or ethyl, R20 is allyl, propargyl, 3-butenyl, 3-butynyl, phenyl or benzyl; R is H or a metallic cation; and where not specified alkyl, alkoxy, acyl gps. etc are all 'lower'). (I) are used to control Lepidoptera, Orthopterea, Heteroptera, Homoptera, Diptera, Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Acaries, Tetranychidae. Tarsonemidae and ornithodoros. They may beused alone or formulated with other active cpds. such as Propoxur, Carbarayl, Naled, Dichlorvos, Methoprene, Kinoprene, Hydroprene, Cyhexatine and Resmethrine.
