Slotted grid for ventilation or illumination - has machined slots separated by profiled ribs and plastics sheet cover

The stiffened slotted grid is used for heat or noise radiation, ventilation and for illumination purposes. The grid members form ribs left after material removal for making slots. The ribs (31, 32) have curved slopes (11, 12) on both sides so that the slots have approximately triangular or trapezoidal cross section. Each rib outside edge has a projecting tip (51, 52). These tips may contact each other or are separated. The slots are machined into timber boards which can be covered with a plastics panel by adhesive bonding.
