<p>When playing a long piece of music the instrumentalist must turn over the pages of the score, which can interfere with the performance. The invention enables the pages to be turned by a device controlled by a foots witch. An electric motor (2) drives a disc (19) through a pinion (1). The disc carries a pin (3) which drives a spring loaded connecting rod (5) which rotates an arm (21) through 180 deg. and at the same time imparts a radially reciprocating motion to it. The end of the arm (21) carries an electromagnet (7) which attracts a magnetic disc (8) fixed to the edge of the page (20). When the page (20) has been rotated through 180 deg., the electromagnet is automatically de-energised, releasing the page (20) and the arm (21) returns to its initial position.</p> |
