<p>An absorben dressing for absorbing body fluids includes, as absorbent media, cellulose graft copolymer (I) in fibrous form having a backbone of cellulose and grated side chains of ionic or nonionic polymer moieties at 10-90 wt. %, wrt (I), some of the moieties being ionic polymer moieties at 10-80 wt., wrt (I), and nonionic polymer moieties at 0.5-60 wt. %, wrt (I). The fibrous material is highly water-absorbent, soft and non-flammable. It is useful as diapers, sanitary napkins, tampons, surgical sponges, etc.</p> |
