1525787 Stabilizers for vinyl chloride polymers; cyclic ketones RHONE POULENC INDUSTRIES 24 Nov 1976 [20 May 1976] 49006/76 Addition to 1511621 Heading C3K Vinyl chloride polymer compositions contain as stabilizer (a) 0À1-5 p.h.r. of an organic divalent metal salt with stabilizing properties (b) 0À05-5 p.h.r. of an organic compound of formula where R 1 contains a divalent C 1-36 alkylene, C 2-36 alkenylene, C 7-36 aralkylene, an arylene or cycloalkylene chain containing less than 14 carbon atoms, or, for the above aliphatic R 1 moieties above, ether, keto- and ester varients thereof; R 2 represents a C 1-36 alkyl, C 2-36 alkenyl, C 7-36 aralkyl, an aryl or cycloaliphatic chain containing less than 14 carbon atoms, or for the above aliphatic R 2 moieties above, ether, keto and ester varients thereof. Optionally, R 1 and R 2 may be linear or branched, and may be substituted, e.g. by halogen, or by methyl or ethyl groups, for cases where R 1 and R 2 are aryl or cycloaliphatic radicals. In the examples, compound (b) is variously stearoyltetralone + palmitoyltetralone, 2- acetyl - tetralone, 2 - acetyl - cyclohexanone, 2 - benzoyl - cyclohexanone and 2 - acetylcyclohexane - 1,3 - dione. |
