<p>There is disclosed compounds having the formula: wherein R and R1 represent similar or dissimilar alkyl chains of 1-22 carbon atoms, Z is a PO3 or SO3, x in an integer of 1-3, y is an integer of 1-50, t and s each individually are integers of 0.05 to 1, u and v each individually are integers of 0 to 0.95, (s+v) + (t+u) each = 1, (s+v+t+u) = 2, M is hydrogen, a metal or amine cation and A in an anion selected from the group consisting of halogen, sulfate and alkyl sulfate. These compounds are useful as amphoteric surface active agents, lubricants, rust and corrosion inhibitors, metal lubricants, cleaners, and the like.</p> |
