PURPOSE: To increase the permeability of a gas and to improve durability by forming a semi-permeable fluid separation membrane having less than 1,000μm thickness from a composition composed of a polymer cross-linked by carbon bond between ethylenically unsaturated moieties. CONSTITUTION: The semi-permeable fluid separation membrane having less than 1,000μm thickness is formed by the used of a polyaromatic polymer containing aromatic repeating units, of which >=5 mol.% are substituted by the moieties having ethylenically unsaturated carbon bond, and cross-linked by carbon bond between the ethylenically unsaturated moieties. In such a case, a hollow fiber for separating a fluid mixture is also formed by the use of the polyaromatic polymer. Where, as the aromatic repeating unit, benzyl- and phenyl-brominated 2,6-dimethy-1,4-phenylene oxide are suitable.
