MICRO-FILTRATION APPARATUS AND ITS METHOD

PURPOSE: To make it possible to collect filtrate discretely to the respective welts of the conventional plate from respective test wells by constituting respective nozzles for the filtrate so as to admit these nozzles in alignment into the conventional multiwells from the rear surfaces of flat bottom members. CONSTITUTION: The manifold plate 10 and a filter support plate 26 are placed are combined and assembled with each other by placing male fittings 20 on the recesses of the plate 26. The manifold plate 10 has an array of the filtering veils 14 to accept the liquid sample to be filtered. The respective wells 14 are so adapted that their bottoms are closed by the flat bottom members 34. Further, the filtrate discharge nozzles 42 make fluid communication with the respective filtration wells 14 and are hung from the flat bottom members 34 at the points outward in the radial direction on the inside surfaces of the filtering wells 14. Consequently, the filtrate may be discretely collected from the respective test wells to the respective veils of the conventional plate.
