PURPOSE: To provide a soft magnetic multi-layer coating provided with a magnetostriction constant equal to an absolute value less than 5.10<-6> or zero or practically equal to zero by constituting the magnetic component of a secondary layer to Fe of at least 90 atomic %. CONSTITUTION: In this soft magnetic multi-layer coating 9 provided with many crystalline main layers and many amorphous secondary layers for which the layers are alternately provided and the magnetic component of the main layer is practically exclusively Fe, the magnetic component of the secondary layer is constituted to Fe of at least 90 atomic %. It is preferable that the secondary layer is provided with only Fe as the magnetic component.
