The burner for a domestic gas oven is made from drawn aluminium alloy tube. Part of the wall of the tube is of a greater thickness (2) than the remainder of the tube (3). The thick part of the tube has holes (4) of unequal diameters, the smaller holes being on the pressure side of the burner. An injector fits inside the end of the burner tube (5). The inside of the tube forms a venturi near the end. The end of the burner is sealed (8) by closing the bore of the tube.
