<p>An electronic weigher converts the weight of an article comprising merchandise and wrapping (tare) into a displacement which is in turn converted into an electrical signal. The electrical signal is multiplied by a second signal representing unit price to produce the price of the weighed article. The weight signal generator (18) has a resetting device (19-23) which is energised when there is only a tare on the weigher platform (1). The price display unit is disconnected before the resetting device is energized. Pref. the disconnecting mechanism (24,25) also disconnects, the weight display unit before the resetting device is energized. Pref. the weight signal is stored in a memory (25,26) before the resetting device is energized.</p> |
