Carburettor with additional fuel circuits - has auxiliary circuit actuated by magnetic valve when fuel of lower heat value is used

A depression dependent piston and diaphragm regulates the fuel flow from a float chamber via a taper needle and jet. The carburettor is provided with an electromagnetic valve (24) enabling the use of a fuel with a lower specific heat value such as methanol. A fuel chamber (20) is provided whose upper part is in communication with the carburettor air intake via a calibrated opening (21a). The lower part is in communication with the fuel in the float chamber and has a valve seat (22). The valve seat can be opened or closed by the magnetic valve push rod. The fuel chamber contains an emulsifying tube and supplements the normal carburettor working when the lower specific heat value fuel is used.
