Lining for high temp. industrial furnaces - has holders protected against heat by folded lining mats

The combustion chamber lining has side by side arranged mats of temp. resistant material in several layers. The flat layers retained parallel to the chamber walls, are held by plate, pin or plug shaped holders on the walls. The temp. limit specified by the heat resistance of the mats can be fully utilised without regard to the thermal resistance of the holders. The holders (12) contact surface of an inner layer (13a, 14a,15a). The mats (13,14,15) forming this inner layer are folded and placed as outside layer (13b,14b) over the inner layer. These layers are connected by adhesive bonding, and the holder end is covered by flat folded layer.
