The bedpan positioning equipment collects the faeces of a bedridden person, and consists of a device to raise the body and a bag which can be fitted to it. Lifting can be by means of an inflatable rectangular cushion with a flat rigid skeleton to aid insertion below the body, joined to the cushion by a removable cover. The bag can have an opening with two rounded portions for fitting in the anus and points fitting on the pubic and sacrum, these being long enough to be held in one hand and pulled upwards to press the bag against the body. The bag can be transparent and of flat shape to allow placing upright between the legs.
