The machine for boot and shoe making consists of a last (1, 2) which is in three parts and is heated. The last (1, 2) is used in conjunction with a block (3, 4) which is also heated and in three parts. The middle part (1) of the last is moved downwards by and air cylinder on the piece of leather (9) which is being worked, and which is pressed down onto the underneath part (3) of the block. The leather is pressed in a lengthwise direction. The pneumatically mounted side parts (2) of the last descent past the middle piece and move axially, stretching the leather in a crosswise direction. The two side parts (2) of the top last are adjustable depending on the thickness of leather. After the operation, the side parts (2) open sideways by means of cylinders (6), and then are moved upwards in a closed position by a cylinder (7). The underneath side parts (4) are operated by a cylinder (8).
