<p>A spray nozzle for injecting a mass of material to make a seal around the edges of two spaced glass panes, to form an insulating panel, has a front wall with outlets for the, for pref. butyl rubber. The front wall has a zone extending linearly, and some distance from it, there is an obstructing wall, the width of which is a little less than the distance between the two glass panes. This dam wall is supported by a cranked leg at the same distance from the face of the nozzle as it is wide. A channel is thus formed between the nozzle wall and the dam wall and the dam wall which is open on two sides and at the side opposite to the supporting leg. The insulating glass plate, the panes of which are held apart by separate distance pieces, are sealed along their edges by a strip extruded from the nozzle described. There are foru rectangular distance pieces placed close to the corners of the panes, and the edging strip forming the seal consists of a permanently adhesive, rapidly hardening and elastic material such as butyl rubber.</p> |
