The arrangement for connecting a pieplaying outrigger to the pipe carrying vessel is for outriggers mounted in a framework extending from the vessel. It comprises cylindrical pins at each end of a horizontal bar constituting the base of the outrigger frame and open sockets in blocks on the end of the standing framework. When the pins are housed in the sockets round- (or taper-) nosed sliding bolts carried in the blocks are pushed (conventionally) into engagement with correspondingly shaped cups in the ends of the pins and locked to secure the coupling. Tapering guideways in the blocks facilitate the housing process.
