<p>The emergency escape is for use by the operator from the cab of a shelf loading machine, and comprises a vertical ladder, preferably with a back guard. Each ladder is suspended from a travel mechanism running either independently or with the loading machine along the upper guide rail of the latter, being opposite the cabin exit. All the guide rails have extensions beyond the end of the rows of shelves for the ladders. These extensions can be common to several or all shelf gangways, running at right angles to them. They can have curves leading into the transverse alley, being coupled to each other via. sets of points.</p> |
