Dust collecting machine - with flat spray nozzles upstream and centrifugal sepn. chamber downstream of radial fan, for use in cement mfr. or coal cutting

A machine to collect dust from dust laden air, e.g. for cement making machinery or cutter loaders in coal mines has water spray nozzles at the inlet to a radial-flow fan. The outlet forms an annular chamber around the drive motor where the dust runs in spirals as a sludge along the outer walls. A ring separates the sludge which can be discharged through ports to the outside; the clean air passes through straightening vanes. The machine has 3 to 5 times the s.g. cf. conventional dust collectors. Collection efficiency is >90% for finely dispersed dust and it is small enough to be installed directly near the source of dust generation.
