摘要

Measurement of H2 pressure, esp. the H2 partial pressure in mixts. involves determn. of the dimensional change with varying H2 content of a H2 absorbent by means of a strain gauge strip. The process is useful in e.g. vacuum heat extraction, monitoring the amt. of H2 in the gas atmos. of an oil tank and monitoring the determining the course of chemical reactions in which H2 is liberated. It yields very precise results over a wide pressure and temp. range. The equipment is also very robust. The absorbent can be a thin Ni foil. Pd (alloy) layer or TiNi3 monocrystal, to which the strain gauge is attached. Temp. compensation can be provided and operation pref. takes place at 80-150 degrees C.
