Pipeline or pipe formwork using site concrete for e.g. tunnel construction, channels or sewers, employs two curved segments (1) hinged together at their base (7) and opened out to the required size by spindles or hydraulic rams (4, 5, 6) prior to formation of the concrete components. The segments are similarly collapsed after the components have been formed. Static loads are accommodated by longitudinal supports made of angle iron and I-beam profiles (2) and square timber (3). The supports are welded, riveted or bolted together to provide reinforcement and stabilisation in the longitudinal direction.
