The frame is particularly for bottle racks, having a number of pairs of columns joined by rails, the latter having fittings on the ends by which they are secured to holes at regular intervals in the columns. The two fittings (7, 8) on each rail (3) are symmetrical about an axis perpendicular to the plane of rail and equidistant from the columns. The centre line (X1, X'1) of the rail is offset from that of the fittings by an amount equal to one quarter of the pitch of the holes (5, 6) in the columns. The Interval between the holes in the fittings is the same as the column hole pitch. Thus each rail can be mounted either way up, increasing the number of different relative positions in which they can be mounted. |
