The engine suction system has a twin carburettor (2, 3) with feed pipes (23, 24) leading to a chamber (20) fitted inside the exhaust manifold. The manifold has a control flap (16) to regulate the hot gas flow past the chamber. The chamber outlet (22) leads to the inlet manifold to distribute the fuel mixture to the individual cylinders (26). The feed pipe (23) from the main carburettor has a tubular ring (30), spaced 2 to 5 mm from the feed pipe inner wall and sealed at the lower end by an outer ring (31) to form an annular chamber (32) between feed pipe and the tubular ring (30). A number of small openings (33) or slots close to the lower end of the chamber, allow fuel to enter the induction manifold (25) and by pass the heated chamber (20).
