<p>The remedial massage apparatus uses a sleeve (2) of e.g. plastics material around the limb (1) to be massaged, with pneumatic cushions (3) in pairs between the underside of the limb and the sleeve. Between the upper surface and the sleeve are foam pads (6). Straps (5) close the sleeve, at top and bottom. Successive pairs of pads are sequentially inflated and deflated to provide the massaging action. Each pair is connected by a line (4) to a membrane pump, and the membrane pumps are operated successively by a rotary cam drive.</p> |
