STABILIZED ABSORBENT PAD

An absorbent pad particularly useful in the manufacture of disposable diapers, comprising wood fibers that are stabilized within the pad by means of a plurality of filaments incorporated into the pad with a network of adhesive bonds such that the fibers within the pad are prevented from shifting from location to location within the pad. By reason of this stabilization of the fibers within the pad, there is prevented the slumping and/or lumpiness heretofore experienced in such pads that are not stabilized.
