<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the unexpected carriage of a sheet storage device by carrying the device to an insertion position with a carriage means in accordance with a signal generated upon the shift of the device from a sheet feed position. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 3 is slightly pulled toward a front B direction while a spring 57 is being further compressed, a cassette sensor 56 is turned on. Then, a control part releases a brake or lock means and reverses the rotational direction of a motor 11, thereby turning sprockets 16 and 31 in an E direction. As a result, a pin 36 comes in contact with one face 37b of a groove 37 and causes the shift of the cassette 3 in a B direction. Thereafter, the pin 36 turns to upward circular arc motion and the rightward shift of the cassette 3 stops. Furthermore, when the pin 36 shifts to a position for turning off the sensor 22 with a shade board 21, the control part turns off the motor 11 and the motion of chains 20 and 35 is thereby made to terminate.</p> |
