Hermetically sealed electrical terminal - uses rigid conductor and has single sealing brazed or soldered element

Terminal for panel or case mounted electrical conductors providing insulation and hermetic sealing for the passage of the conductor through the panel etc. The terminal can be in the form of a connector. The conductor (5) is rigid and the case sealing cover (1) so designed that it can be pressed directly over the conductor and down onto the source casing (2) hence avoiding the need for a flexible lead that requires connection to the terminal before fitting the cover. Isolation is by means of a disc insulator (7) and the conductor is terminated in a conducting cylinder (9), sealing in both cases being by brazing or soldering.
