<p>The cutting tool with interchangeable tips consists of a square shank (1) and a shoulder (2) formed by milling away half the shank. One side of the shoulder has a tapped hole (11), the other side has a longitudinal V shaped profile (2") machined into it. The cutting tip (3) has a similar profile (4) and a longitudinal slot (5), through which the tip (7) of a clamp projects. The clamp is held by a screw (10) and a gap (12) between the clamp and shank is provided to ensure that the clamp can deflect and exert pressure on the tip.</p> |
