The conveyor unit for fruit sorting, has a light detector which selects the fruit into two groups depending upon colour difference of the first. Supports cooperating the conveyor belt enable also splitting of the groups depending upon size of the fruit. Each support has two moving parts which limit a discharge through way for the fruit in such a way that gradually the through way increase in opening size. Guides cooperate with the supports preventing these from taking up a transverse position w.r.t. the conveyor belt.
