The supply valve for the aqualung has a control valve (E) to link the air bottle to the mouthpiece connection (127). A secondary duct (6) leads to an emergency supply port (10) complete with emergency valve, which leads to a bypass duct (12) past the pressure control valve (22) which cuts off at a minimum set pressure. The valve can be used for double and single air bottles. When the minimum pressure is reached the air supply is cut off. the diver can then overide the valve by the emergency valve and knows that he has just sufficient air to return to the surface. The level of the cut off pressure is easily adjusted.
