A telephone has a keyboard for pushbutton dialling with buttons for figures 0 to 9 and a variety of other buttons. The telephone unit includes a store for data with a digital display for the numbers which have been punched in. The data store is used as an output store and is connected to an output coder operating the display. The data store is also connected to two of a set of three linked switches. It is also connected to a small computer which is linked to the input keyboard.
