Hydraulic clamp for borehole drilling pipe - imposes reciprocating rotating movement on pipes during extraction from soil

The hydraulic clamp is used for cyclic rotation of borehole drilling pipes recovered from borehole. The clamp has axially actuated cylinders and pistons with rods of variable length. The pipe actuating clamp can be detached any time and at any level from a given pipe. The front part of the pipe clamp (14) has two forward opening pipe clamp jaws (15). These jaws are held on guides (16) so that they can be driven horizontally. On the rear ends of these clamp jaws (15) is provided mechanism (22) for locking these clamp jaws in working position. A hydraulic pressure exerting cylinder (17) is provided under the front arm of one swivelling clamp jaw (15). This cylinder ensures that the swivelling clamp jaws are pulled together into working position.
