In the slab covering, an upper slab layer (2), composed of rectangular slabs (4), is located on a lower slab layer (1) which is composed of rectangular slabs (3) which are of the same surface area as the slabs (4). A slab covering of this type has a good point-loading capacity. The length of the slabs (3, 4) is in each case double the size of their width. The slabs of the two slab layers (1, 2) are arranged in a herringbone pattern. The two slab layers are adhesively bonded to each other over the entire surface area. Each whole slab (4) of one slab layer (2) is adhesively bonded to four slabs (3) of the other slab layer (1); as a result of the continuous adhesive bonding, the slab covering is a complete interconnected assembly. <IMAGE> |
