摘要 <p>A device for prefilling a compression mould cavity with a particulate material, comprises a container with a perforated base which can dump material into the cavity to a level controlled by the position of base of the device above the base of the cavity. The container is mounted on (rubber) supports which allow the container to oscillate along one or more axes and/or in a rotary motion to cause the particles to pass through the perforated base. Used for filling moulds which controlled amounts and/or distributions of e.g. resin impregnated wood particles for moulding worktops, bins etc. Can be used to mould undulating profiles of constant wall thickness and/or mouldings with controlled variations in wall thickness or density. The amount of material is limited by material ceasing to flow through the base one the cavity is filled to the base of the holder, even if oscillation continues. Excess material can be removed still in the container after stopping oscillation. Control of fill distribution allows wall thickness control on sloping parts of the moulding.</p>
