Appts. for arc-welding and/or -cutting, using a power supply connected to a burner. To prevent burner overload or damage due to overheating, a temp. - sensitive switch is used, which can emit a signal switching off the power supply. The switch is pref. used in the most sensitive part of the burner, esp. near the gas nozzle and/or the electric contact nozzle; and >1 switch may be used. The switch is pref. a thermistor. Appts. avoids damage to burners.
