<p>The equipment preselects a number of lifting heights for a slide travelling up and down a mast, being particularly for a forklift truck or shelf-loading machine. A measuring tape is anchored at one end to the slide, while the other end is wound in by a spring-loaded roller, and initiates the operation for picking up or setting down the load on reaching the selected height. The tape (9) is punched (9a) or toothed, and passes from the roller (12) round a spider wheel (5) driving an emitter (22) generating an electrical signal proportional to the distance travelled. A pushbutton selects a similar signal of predetermined value in a preselector unit and when a comparator unit detects two identical signals it initiates the picking-up or setting-down operation.</p> |
