Improved range tractor transmission - has additional gears to increase range of reversing gears but with similar speed ranges

The tractor transmission has a group gear box in line with a conventional box so that high and low ratios can be obtained. A reversing control is included with gears in constant mesh with the input of the group box and hence with the output of the conventional box. The range of available reversing gears is thus considerably increased. The choise of reversing gears is such that for the same speeds in the forward gears similar or faster reverse speeds can be selected. This improves the application of the tractor.
