Sewage aeration device - with adjustable inclined deflector plates for swell ejected by aeration impeller

Sewage is treated in an aeration tank by a centrifugal impeller which revolves near the fluid level around a vertical axis and projects the fluid radially in a heavy swell. One or more deflector plates are arranged with an angle f incidence of 30-90 degrees against the horizontal within the action radius of the impeller, partly above and partly below the water level. This causes the air bubbles contained in the swell to be kept under the water surface for longer periods so that the mass exchange between water and oxygen in the air is intensified. The deflectors also act as spray preventers and keep germs and smells away from the environment.
