The heat eachanger rotor is automatically driven by a vaned wheel, caused to rotate by the inlet or discharge air blown over it, and coupled to the rotor. The end face of the rotor is also in the form of a vaned wheel, and air is guided through the rotor along an oblique or curved path and not a straight one. The inlet or discharge air is blown onto the rotor at an angle to its axis, either by means of a specially-shaped feed conduit or by mounting deflector vanes in the latter. No external power is thus required, and the heat exchanger is usable in quite small air-conditioning equipment.
|
