<p>The wire brace located inside the mouth to act as a tooth straightener, has a cross piece to contact the sides of the mouth, and an arch shaped piece to follow the curvature of the mouth, in the conventional manner, with connections at the end of the arched piece, for attachment to straps (5) around the teeth (6). The end (1) of the arched pieces has a sleeve into which is inserted a wire (2) which has another sleeve (13) around it, carrying a joint piece (4) with the strap (5) attached. At the end (10) of the second sleeve is attached a short tube (14) into which is inserted a pin (18) with a looped head (16). This locks the extension wire (2) onto the end of the arch piece.</p> |
