Spring loaded shock absorbing friction brake - has leaf spring loaded eccentric friction roller with spring loaded lever

The spring loaded shock absorbing brake of relatively simple design has a lever (2) pivoted in a support (1). This lever carries at one end an eccentric roller (3). Part of the roller surface is in contact with leaf springs (5) held in the support by spring ends. A tension spring (7) is connected to the lever free end and the support holding the lever in neutral position. On movement, the roller is raised and the contact force against the leaf spring is increased and damping is ensured by friction between roller and leaf spring.
