<p>The device for connecting cross beams in concrete formwork units incorporates a coupling piece for fixture in a beam slit, using plug pieces passing through cutouts in beams and coupling piece. The cross beams (1, 2) have stems (4) spanning the slit (6) and serving as mounting for the coupling piece. One plug piece, at least, is a wedge twisted between beam and coupling piece when in position so as to generate a force acting along the beam length as well as one at right angles to this, striking the coupling piece against the stems. The shape of the cutouts permits rotational movement of the edge about its longitudinal axis while it is being knocked in. This permits accommodation of considerable longitudinal forces, while retaining complete freedom of play in a line at right angles to the formwork plane.</p> |
