The insulation between the coke oven end walls and the door frames is so designed that certain temp. differential thresholds are not exceeded. The elastic deformability of the various layers of insulation between outer and inner frame, between out frame and thrust plate, and between end lining and brickwork is chosen such that any residual deformations are compensated by elastic deformation of the outer frame and/or of the end lining. If the temp at the thrust plate and the door frames are measured regularly, adjusting screws can be tightened to compensate all deformations caused by differential heating of the frame and of the thrust plates.
|
